WoS is a member based non-profit support- and advocacy organisation for African women filmmakers. The organisation is based in South Africa but works actively with members in Angola, Namibia, Nigeria, Zambia, and Zimbabwe in addition to the members in South Africa.

We hope you've come back from the holiday season all rested and refreshed ready to tackle 2010 and we hope you'll achieve all you set out to achieve this year.
Given the tough time last year, as an industry we can all agree... we say good riddance to 2009 and hope that 2010 is better. WoS is certainly planning and will be working to ensure that.
